Moral Code and Moral Characteristics Required for Life
In the framework of preparations for the 4-th camp meeting of Moscow children NGOs (September 28 through October 2, 2004) the Movement of Young Peacemakers prepared the home task "Moral Values of a Citizen" for the teams to participate in the event. After doing home work teams of children NGOs will be asked to make show on the stage of the theater, demonstrating one of the moral values by their choice, such as love, charity, faith, unselfishness, tolerance, responsibility and others.

Leonid Roshal the Doctor of Peace
Council of veterans of the Museum of Peacekeeping Operations decided to include the story of Russian doctor Leonid Roshal into the program of training of young peacemakers. From now on any youth decided to pass the exams to obtain honourable badge "the Young Peacemaker" is to know very well the biography of Leonid Roshal who have successfuly fulfilled his professional and peacemaking duty during liberation of over 800 hostages in Nord Ost at Dubrovka Street in Moscow in October 2002. For the information of candidates to young peacemakers the article "Leonid Roshal the Doctor of Peace" was published on the website of the Museum in section "Gallery of Honour".

The memorial book "In the Service of Peace.1973-2003" will be published in February
According to the plan of activities of the National Committee for the celebration of the 30-th anniversary of Russian participation in UN peacekeeping and 55-th anniversary of UNTSO the Museum of Peacekeeping Operations prepared for the publication the third issue of the memorial book of Russian peacekeepers under the title "In the Service of Peace. 1973-2003". The publication of the book to comprise 200 pages will be completed by the end of February 2004. For the contents of the book see the bulletin "Voice of Peacemakers # 130".

Names of 2 768 Russian paratroopers appeared in the Gallery of Honour
By the end of last year Yuri Gorsky, acting Chief of Staff of Russian Corps of Paratroops has sent to Museum of Peacekeeping Operations the list of Russian participants of UN peacekeeping missions in Yugoslavia 1992 - 1995. By decision of Council of Veterans of the Museum the names of Russian paratroopers awarded with the UN Medal "In the Service of Peace" were placed into section "List of Russian Troops of the UN Peacekeeping Forces" of the Gallery of Honour of the Museum.

Round Table "Civic Society and Culture of Peace"
Permanent round table "Civic Society and Culture of Peace" to include representatives of 20 NGOs was established at the closing session of the 3-rd National Conference "Civic Society for Children of Russia" which took place December 16 and 17, 2003 in the village Moskovsky located 8 km from the capital of Russia. The principal problems the round table is to deal with are (a) elaboration of program on peace education of children for the National Union "Civic Society for Children of Russia", which consist of 502 NGOs; (b) establishment and training of the group of leaders, representing children corps of the Union and others. The summary of the round table "Civic Society and Culture of Peace" is published in the bulletin "Voice of Peacemakers # 127" (Russian).

Conference of the Union of Russian NGOs
The conference of Russian Union of NGOs "Civic Society for Children of Russia" will take place in Moskovsky village of Moscow region from December 16 to December 17, 2003. The key speakers of the conference will be Ella Pamfilova, the chairwoman of the Union; Galina Karelova, vice prime-minister of the government of Russia; Dr.Roshal, co-chairman of the Union and others. The conference will discuss the situation in children rights and adopt the program of action.
